Calvin-style Punkins
I present for your enjoyment, this year's Jack-O-Lanterns. Created in the style of Calvin & Hobbes snowmen:

A slightly clearer view:

Aw, yeah.

I made this many punkin guts:

That is a BIG freakin' bowl, people.

Now I contemplate making some roasted punkin seeds. My wrists may never forgive me. :) Still, not bad for a night's work.

Mine sits in my window, lined with tin foil and stuffed with 5 red glowsticks.

5 red glowsticks, lined wit tin foil, from outside my room:

(This requires more glowsticks and tinfoil, because my front door and window are just below a light fixture, and te trmenously well-lit parking lot is not 10 feet outside my door.)

If the punkin is Calvin style, shouldn't one be puking up its punkin guts? :)

Seriously, though, I really love the one on the right. I wish I had that kind of carve-fu.

Danke. :) I had to doodle some sketches... it was a lot harder to do a cartoon impression of "sheer terror directed in a specific direction" than I suspected it would be at first...

I have an absolute mountain of them right now. Hrmm. I must experiment with spicings.

Cute enough to warrant me putting my widdle black table outside (where the evil elements are!) just to display 'em properly!

I noticed that in the pictures! And that too is awesome! you shared your mighty pumpkin-fu with the neighborhood!

I had to put them into the dump this morning, but I couldn't do it... someone was throwing away one of those enormous wooden spools (the ones they use for industrial cable and stuff), and it was laying there like a table next to the dumpster. So I set up the punkins on that for one final showing. I hope the garbagemen think they're cute.
