Johnny Weir:  "Flamboyant"

You know what, rockinhamburger?  I'm totally with you on this one.

This fucking PISSES ME OFF.

Johnny Weir skated a breathtakingly, astoundingly beautiful routine this year.  He really makes his case for crafting a routine that's about more than just jumps, jumps, stupid-ass jumps.  And his scores were disgraceful.

Yes, I adore Evan and agree that he deserved his gold.  But Johnny still got shafted, and I wouldn't be surprised if it happened because the judges thought the pun would be amusing.

Man, I wish Competitive Ass-Fucking was a real thing. I WOULD WATCH THE SHIT OUT OF THAT. Then I could start up a Fantasy Ass-Fucking League...

Um, I'm pretty sure Fantasy Ass-Fucking League is EXACTLY what we've been doing since July. :D

i love johnny and I was pretty pissed off at his (obviously) deflated scores by the judges. FUCK THEM, FUCK THEM ALL! I'm not saying I thought he deserved better scores than Evan or my boy Plushenko, but he DID deserve better scores than he got.

I think the thing that irked me the most was that "they won't call him an athlete". What. >:/

Johnny has spent years making an ass of himself and alienating judges. He has only recently started being more serious and working on his actual programs and skills. The judges weren't fair with him, but he earned his reputation. His wins and awards have frequently been in spite of his attitude.

I like watching Johnny Weir skate. I think the judging of figure skating is one of the most likely areas to be skewed by names and prejudice. But it's not because Johnny is the most flamboyant gay to ever hit the ice.

And I'd say shame on NBC for treating him as they did, but again, that's the persona that he spent a lot of time and effort crafting when he was younger. Sucks for him now, but he has a lot of history to overcome.
