Crazy busy couple of days

Tuesday, I came home from work, fell into bed at 5:30, and slept until 10pm.  Then I woke up, shook off the dietary/holiday stupor I'd been trapped in for days, and DENUDED THE APARTMENT OF EVERYTHING CHRISTMAS SO HELP ME GOD.

My winter flower arrangement (by far the prettiest one) is up again, and all is right with the world.  It took me until about 3am to get all the holiday stuff packed away.  Then I went to bed, and woke up the next day with the absolute conviction that I'd skipped a full day somewhere.  Wednesday I was convinced it was Thursday, and so went to elvinborn's house a full day early to do laundry in the evening.  Thursday felt incredibly Fridayish all day long, and I could not shake the feeling no matter how hard I tried.  I went home and cleaned out the cat litter (a huge job at Casa Ewin), something I'd been putting off for weeks.  Then I vacuumed the apartment, a job complicated by the fact that the belt finally broke.  I am, at all times, far more together than I realize.  I had a spare belt.  The apartment is clean-ish.  Then I collapsed, and woke up today and went to work, and yup, it felt like Saturday.  I had that vaguely lackadaisical, slightly resentful feeling that you have when you work a full day on an unscheduled weekend day.

If tomorrow feels like Sunday, then I'm just absolutely giving up.  I have... like... DAYlag.  I will be eternally one weekday ahead.  The next time a leap year happens, I'll end up a calendar day ahead as well and you may as well shoot me.

In the meantime, I have a new toy.  I re-thought the idea of getting one of the enormous iPod Classics, and decided to put it off for tax season.  In the meantime, I've had elvinborn's iRiver for about a year.  So I decided to get a baby lilac iPod Shuffle.  It is small, and wee, and it charged up very quickly and seems to never run out of battery.  I got it set up last night.

I listened to Ulrich Schnauss's "Stars"... and did the silhouette girl iPod dance.  Like you do.

I was wondering what kinda sinkhole swallowed you up. :)

You've missed an exciting week, although equal parts exciting-good (I also got a new music toy) and exciting-bad (the rest of it). Speaking of which, I need to write an update on the window saga when I get a chance.

SPOILER ALERT: Window still broken, dealership wouldn't fix it for free because the recall only affected the bolts which were fine, they wanted 700+ to do it, I told them to go fuck themselves, and I'll be getting it fixed for around about 300 in the next few days.

Also remind me to send you that Brendan Canning thing next time I'm home, cause it be good.

The batteries on those things do last approximately forever-- Amy has managed to run hers out, but only by going hiking for days in places without power to recharge 'em.

Your cats will put up with cat litter being cleaned out every few weeks? If we go two or three days, the cats will express their displeasure. On the carpet...

I have two cats and three VERY BIG litter boxes.

I actually scoop about once a week, but I only clean out the litter completely every few months, or I'd go broke on cat litter. :)
