Link from ursulavAAAAAAAAAAAGH what on earth is that THING.

Because ursulav is a proactive GQMF, she goes on to ask her flist what on earth that might be.  The general consensus in the comments of the entry is that it's a legitimate bizarre lifeform -- a Bryozoan -- and not a bit of film wizardry.

In other news, batzradio showed me something that won the entire internet the other day:
I Am Not A Robot.
This is fanart drawn from prompts.  The prompts are the stupid squiggly random words you have to type in to websites whenever you register for anything, in order to prove that you're a Real Human(tm).  GENIUS!

Someone else who posted it also posted a link to an analysis from some professors discussing this very thing. They seemed to reach the conclusion that it's a nest of tubifex, and one of them, a specialist in Bryzoans, flatly denies that they're/it's bryzoans.

Now, having seen exactly similar behavior in slime molds at a smaller scale, I'm just going to go with a slime mold and go to bed.

Love the fanart.

I've started to hate those words because they sometimes add so much squiggly shit that I can't read them.

Maybe I AM a robot?
